Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
- Apply Tooling (C) on the locating pin and on the pin bore.
- Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to position swing motor (11) .

- Install bolts (12) and remove Tooling (B) from swing motor (11). Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 240 ± 40 N·m (177 ± 30 lb ft).
- Connect hose assemblies (10), (9), and (8) .

- Install panel (4) and connect hose (6) .

- Install hose (5), panel (3), and guard (2) .
- Install panel (1) .

- Remove Tooling (A) from the hydraulic tank. Install the cap onto the hydraulic tank.
