Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

- Install inserts (39) and bolts (40) .

- Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to position main hydraulic pump (14). The weight of main hydraulic pump (14) is approximately 250 kg (550 lb).
- Install bolts (30) .

- Install support assemblies (28) and (29) .

- Connect tube assembly (27) .
- Connect hose assemblies (26) and (25) .
- Position filter assembly (24) and install bolts (23) .

- Connect hose assemblies (22) and (21) .
- Install bracket assemblies (20) and (19) and bolts (18) .

- Connect hose assemblies (17) .
- Install bracket assembly (16) to the main hydraulic pump (14) and connect harness assemblies (15) .
- Install cover (13) .

- Use two people to install support assembly (10). The weight of support assembly (10) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).
- Connect hose assembly (8) .
- Install covers (12) and (7), supports (11) and (9), hand hold (6), and mirror mounting bracket (5) .

- Connect hose assemblies (4), (3), (2), and (1) .
- Refill the hydraulic tank with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities".

Install the muffler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Muffler - Install".
