Note: Begin the check with a 10000 kPa (1450 psi) pressure gauge before the 4000 kPa (580 psi) pressure gauge is connected.
- Place the swing lock pin in the LOCK position.
Note: Machines that are equipped with a fixed cab riser are not equipped with a swing lock pin. Place the swing brake switch in the ON position in order to engage the swing brake.
- Start the engine.
- Place the power mode switch in the Mode P position.
- Adjust the engine speed to position 6 by turning the engine speed dial.
- Check the pressure readings on the gauges at pressure taps (8) and (10). Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Specifications" in this manual for the correct swing charge pressure.
Note: If the pressures are not to specifications, adjust the swing charge pressure. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Relief Valve (Swing Charge Pressure) - Test and Adjust" in this manual. If the pressures at pressure taps (8) and (10) are not equal, adjust the mechanical zero position of the swing pump.
- To adjust the mechanical zero position, loosen the locknut of adjustment screw (9) on the servo valve.
- Turn adjustment screw (9) until the pressure at pressure taps (8) and (10) is equal.
- Tighten the locknut on adjustment screw (9) to the specified torque. Secure the locknut with Loctite.
