Air Compressor Fails to Unload

Usage:

C-12 2KS

Symptom

The air compressor will not unload

Probable Cause

  • Faulty governor or governor installation

Test the governor for proper operation. Check for restrictions in the air line that connects to the governor. Repair the governor or replace the governor, if necessary. Repair the air lines or replace the air lines, if necessary.

  • Faulty synchronization valve or installation

Test the synchronization valve for proper operation. Check for restrictions in the air line that connects to the synchronization valve. Repair the governor or replace the synchronization valve, if necessary. Repair the air lines or replace the air lines, if necessary.

  • Faulty unloader piston or bore

Inspect the unloader piston and the bore for the unloader piston for wear. Check for a dirty unloader piston. Inspect the bore for the unloader piston for dirt. Replace the unloader piston, if necessary.
