Start By:

  1. Remove the rotary manifold. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rotary Manifold - Remove" for further information.


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Place rotary manifold (1) on a clean work bench.

  1. Use Tooling (A) to remove retaining ring (2) . Remove spacer (3) .

  1. Install Tooling (B) onto housing (4). Place the assembly in a hydraulic press. Use the press to separate the housing from the manifold.

  1. Remove six seals (5) and six rings (6) from housing (4) .

  1. Remove spacer (7) from manifold (1) .
