Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

  1. Fasten a lifting strap and a hoist to the drift reduction valve. Install the drift reduction valve (13) to the machine. The weight of the valve is 36 kg (80 lb).

  1. Install bolts (12) .

  1. Install clamp (10). Install the washers and two bolts (11) .

  1. Connect two hose assemblies (9) .

  1. Install bolts (6) to pipe (8) .

  1. Connect hose (7) .

  1. Connect clip (5) that holds hose (4) to pipe (8) .

  1. Install electrical connector (3) .

  1. Install walkway (2). Install the washers and five bolts (1) .
