Battery - Remove and Install

Usage:

Removal Procedure

  1. Unlock and open access cover (1) on the left side of the machine behind the operator's platform.

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch (2) to the OFF position.

  1. Loosen two knob assemblies (4) and remove battery cover (3) from the machine.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (5) at the battery.

  1. Disconnect the jumper cable (6) from the two batteries.

  1. Disconnect the positive battery cable (7) at the battery.

  1. Remove four bolts and washers (9) and remove bracket assembly (8) .

  1. Remove two batteries (10) from the machine. The weight of one battery is 37 kg (82 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Place two batteries (10) in position, as shown. Place bracket assembly (8) in position and install four bolts and washer (9) .

  1. Connect the positive battery cable (7) at the battery.

  1. Connect the jumper cable (6) to the two batteries.

  1. Connect the negative battery cable (5) at the battery.

  1. Install battery cover (3) and tighten down two knob assemblies (4) .

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch (2) to the ON position.

  1. Close and lock access cover (1) on the left side of the machine behind the operator's platform.
