Battery - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
- Unlock and open access cover (1) on the left side of the machine behind the operator's platform.

- Turn the battery disconnect switch (2) to the OFF position.

- Loosen two knob assemblies (4) and remove battery cover (3) from the machine.

- Disconnect the negative battery cable (5) at the battery.

- Disconnect the jumper cable (6) from the two batteries.
- Disconnect the positive battery cable (7) at the battery.
- Remove four bolts and washers (9) and remove bracket assembly (8) .

- Remove two batteries (10) from the machine. The weight of one battery is 37 kg (82 lb).
Installation Procedure
- Place two batteries (10) in position, as shown. Place bracket assembly (8) in position and install four bolts and washer (9) .

- Connect the positive battery cable (7) at the battery.

- Connect the jumper cable (6) to the two batteries.
- Connect the negative battery cable (5) at the battery.
- Install battery cover (3) and tighten down two knob assemblies (4) .

- Turn the battery disconnect switch (2) to the ON position.
