HOLD (9) - When you release the joysticks from any position, the joysticks will return to the HOLD position. Movement of the upper structure will stop.

Two functions may be performed at the same time by moving a joystick diagonally.

If the machine is equipped with a hydraulic hammer, the function of positions (6) and (8) is different.

Hydraulic Hammer Raise (6) - Move the joystick to this position in order to raise the hydraulic hammer.

Hydraulic Hammer Lower (8) - Move the joystick to this position in order to lower the hydraulic hammer.

Medium Pressure Circuit Controls (If Equipped)

The medium pressure circuit is capable of providing two-way hydraulic flow for attachments such as tilting buckets. This circuit also provides two-way hydraulic flow for rotation of crushers.

Illustration 7g00291807

The controls for the medium pressure circuit are located on the left joystick.

Push down on either side of the button that is on top of the left joystick in order to operate the medium pressure circuit.

Note: Refer to "Bucket Controls" for the operation of the boom, stick, and swing functions.

Clamshell Bucket Control (If Equipped)

The attachment enables the operator to control attachments such as clamshells by using the standard bucket controls.

Illustration 8g00101278

All of the positions on the joysticks are identical to the bucket controls except for position (6) and position (8) .

Clamshell Open (6) - Move the joystick to this position in order to open the clamshell.

Clamshell Close (8) - Move the joystick to this position in order to close the clamshell.

The attachment is activated by switching a ball valve that is located on the head end of the bucket cylinder. A second ball valve can be installed in order to improve the insulation of the hydraulics in this circuit.

NOTICE

Do not operate the clamshell circuit with one ball valve set to the bucket circuit and the other ball valve set to the clamshell circuit.

Serious damage to the bucket cylinder may result.
