Usage:
M312 (6TL),
M315 (7ML),
M318 (6ES, 8AL, 8SS),
M320 (6WL, 9PS) Excavators
A new radio is being installed in the M300 Family of Excavators. The design of the new radio requires that the radio face is removed from the radio to prevent battery drain.
The new radio uses a new mounting procedure that eliminates the 120-6559 Quick Out Frame Assembly that is used with previous radio installations.
The new 165-5934 Radio is equipped with a detachable anti theft face. The radio face is equipped with indicator lamps that use battery power when the face is attached to the radio. Even with the key start switch in the OFF position, the radio face will still use battery power for the indicator lamps.
Service Tip
It is recommended to detach the radio face whenever the machine is not in use for more than a week in order to prevent the batteries from being drained of power by the radio. If the machine is not in use for more than a month, it is recommended to remove the battery disconnect switch to prevent any power loss from the batteries.
The new 165-5934 Radio Group is adaptable to M312 (6TL513), M315 (7ML1004), M318 (6ES235, 8AL1473, 8SS452), and M320 (6WL200, 9PS242) Excavators as a part of the 120-5701 FM Radio Group.
