(1) Use the following procedure to tighten the clutch assembly on the tapered shaft.

1. Tighten the nut against the lock. This will seat the clutch assembly on the taper of the shaft.

   Tighten the nut to the following torque. ... 41 N·m (30 lb ft)

2. Additionally tighten the nut.

   Angle ... 60 to 90 degrees

3. Bend a section of the lock against the flat on the nut. The nut will be locked in position.

(2) Tighten the nut to the following torque. ... 750 ± 68 N·m (553 ± 50 lb ft)
