Fuel Filter Base - Disassemble

Usage:

C18 T34

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the fuel temperature sensor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Temperature Sensor - Remove and Install".

  2. Remove the fuel pressure sensor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Pressure Sensor - Remove and Install".

  3. Remove the fuel filter base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Filter Base - Remove".


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

  1. Remove fuel bypass valve (1) from fuel filter base assembly.

  2. Remove O-ring seals (2) and (3) from fuel bypass valve (1).

  3. Remove dust cap (4) and straight adapter (5).

  4. Remove O-ring seal (6) from straight adapter (5).

  5. Remove elbow adapter (7) and O-ring seal (8).

  6. Remove cap (12) from check valve (10).

  7. Remove O-ring seals (9) and (11) from check valve (10).

  8. Remove straight adapter (14) and elbow adapter (16).

  9. Remove O-ring seal (13) from straight adapter (14).

  10. Remove O-ring seal (15) from elbow adapter (16).

  11. Remove check valve (17).

  12. Remove O-ring seals (18) and (19) from check valve (17).

  13. Remove stud (20).

  14. Remove check valve (23).

  15. Remove O-ring seals (21) and (22) from check valve (23).
