A new AWD front axle rim can now be installed on the machines listed above. The new spacer must be added to prevent the steering from over traveling when the rim is installed.

The following changes are now available for the products within the listed serial numbers.

Do not operate or work on this product unless you have read and understood the instruction and warnings in the relevant Operation and Maintenance Manuals and relevant service literature. (1) 224-6829 Spacer (A) Bolt (B) Nut (D1) 49.0 mm (1.93 inch) (D2) 24.0 ± 1.0 mm (0.94 ± 0.04 inch)

1. Remove the bolt (A) and nut (B) from the steering stopper and remove the old loctite from threads.

2. Assemble the spacer (1), bolt (A), and nut (B) as shown in Illustration 1.

3. Adjust the spacer (1), bolt (A), and nut (B) to achieve dimension (D1) and dimension (D2) as shown in Illustration 1.

4. Apply Loctite 270 to threads.

5. Tighten the nut (B) to 150 ± 20 N·m (110 ± 15 lb ft).

Note: The new 224-6829 Spacer should be installed only if the 9R-3545 Rim is installed.
