Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Flash Program
An electronic control module (ECM) is flashed to upgrade the software and when an ECM has been replaced. The Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) contains the program WinFlash. WinFlash is used to load software into the ECM. The following procedure is used to flash software into the ECM.
Note: Use a 171-4400 Communication Adapter II to flash all machine components.
