Problem
Blower motor may fail on the machines listed above. The blower motor failure will cause the air condition not to function.

Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but an Interim repair has not been defined. Replace with same part number, but ensure that the fault lies with the blower motor and not any other root cause such as wiring. There are other failure modes that may cause the blower not to rotate.
Before replacing the motor, ensure that there is 12 volts at the connector and that the pins are fully seated and the connectors are fully connected. Inspect the fresh air and recirculation filters for damage or if the filters need replacing.
If the 417-8129 Blower fails, replace with the same part number.
Retain the failed part and check Send-It-Back (SIB) for an open parts return request. Additional information regarding the failure can be submitted through the CPI feedback tool in Service Information Management System (SIMSi) referencing CPI number 415995.
