Manual Programming of Sensor IDs

Input the sensor IDs using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET).

1. Connect Cat ET to the Transmission ECM. Refer to Illustration 1.

2. Select the "Configuration Screen". Refer to Illustration 2.

3. In the configuration screen there are three sections dedicated to Tire Pressure Monitoring. Refer to Illustration 3.

4. The first section to be modified has to be the "Tire Monitoring System Installations". Refer to Illustration 4.

   1. Change the "Tire Monitoring Installation Status" to "Installed".

   2. Key cycle the machine, waiting a few seconds before keying the machine back ON.

   3. Reconnect to Cat ET and the Transmission ECM.

5. Select "Configuration Screen", then "Tire Monitoring System Installations". Refer to Illustration 5.

   1. Change each individual sensor to "Installed". Refer to Illustration 5.

   2. Key cycle the machine, waiting a few seconds before keying the machine back ON.

   3. Reconnect to Cat ET and the Transmission ECM.

6. Select "Configration Screen" then "Tire Monitoring System Sensor Identifiers". For each tire input the seven-digit sensor ID. Refer to Illustration 6.

   1. Key cycle the machine, waiting a few seconds before keying the machine back ON.

   2. Reconnect to Cat ET and the Transmission ECM.

7. Return to the "Configration Screen", select "Tire Monitoring System Event Configuration". This section is used to adjust configuration values to specific needs.

8. Under the "Tire Monitoring System Event Configuration" the following alerts can be set as a Level 1, Level 2:

   • "Tire Monitoring System First Alert Pressure Percentage Threshold"

   • "Tire Monitoring System Second Alert Pressure Percentage Threshold"

   Refer to Illustration 7.

   Note: If changes are made to the configuration, a key cycle must be done to save the information.
