Note: The blue lines in the above illustration indicate an input signal. The red lines indicate an output signal.
Note: The above illustration shows the general layout of the machine propel system. Refer to the machine electrical schematic for detailed wiring information.
When parking brake switch (1) is moved from the ON to OFF position while propel lever (2) is in neutral, the parking brake will release.
Park brake relay (5) controls power to parking brake switch (1). When the operator is present in the seat, seat switched (3) and (4) are closed. When the seat switches are closed, the coil of the park brake relay is energized. Power is transferred from the relay to the switch. When the parking brake switch is in the OFF position, power transfers from the park brake solenoid fuse to the neutral switch and to the park brake relay. Power from the park brake relay is transferred to park brake solenoid (8). In this case, the park brake solenoid is energized.
When park brake solenoid (8) is energized, the parking brakes are released and the machine can propel. The park brake solenoid remains energized while the machine is moving.
Park brake solenoid (8) will turn off when parking brake switch (1) is moved to the ON position regardless of the position of propel lever (2).
The parking brake remains engaged if propel lever (2) is out of NEUTRAL, when parking brake switch (1) is moved from on to off. When the propel lever is out of the NEUTRAL position, the neutral switch is open. In this case, neutral relay (7) is not energized and the machine will not propel. When the park brake is set, charge pressure shifts interlock valve (9) to connect the high and low-pressure sides of the pump.
When propel lever (2) is in the REVERSE range, the backup switch is closed. In this case, power transfers from the switch to the backup alarm, and the alarm sounds.
