Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Reports have been received that the telehandler engine harness assembly may fail on the certain machines listed above. The engine harness assembly failure can cause the engine to derate and multiple fault codes.

Solution

In the event of failure, refer to Troubleshooting, UENR4499 for engine error code troubleshooting procedures.

After troubleshooting all other possible causes of engine error codes, replace the 484-2924 Engine Harness As or 542-5780 Engine Harness As with the same part numbers.

Note: Engine fault codes can have many root causes that need to be investigated before replacing the engine harness.
