Power Distribution
(1) Water spray switch
(2) Water spray timer
(3) Water spray relay
(4) Water pump and motor group

When the engine start switch is in the ON position, power is available to the water spray fuse. Power transfers from the water spray fuse to water spray switch (1).

When water spray switch (1) is in the CONTINUOUS position, power transfers from the switch to the water pump and motor group (4). In this case, the electric motor operates without interruption.

When water spray switch (1) is in the INTERMITTENT position, power transfers from the switch to water spray timer (2). Power also transfers to the coil of water spray relay (3). The ground path to the coil of the relay is through the timer. The timer completes the ground path to the relay coil in 15 second increments.

When the ground path to the coil of water spray relay (3) is complete, the relay is energized. In this case, power transfers to the water pump and motor group (4). The electric motor operates until the ground path to the coil of the relay is broken causing the motor to stop.

Note: As long as water spray switch (1) is in the INTERMITTENT position, the electric motor will continue to operate in the on/off condition. Water spray timer (2) resets when water spray switch is returned to the OFF or CONTINUOUS position. The water spray timer is also reset when the engine start switch is cycled off then on.
