Engine Compartment (1) Charge pump (2) Port"P1" (3) Port"S1" | |
Charge pump (1) is located in the engine compartment. The engine compartment cover provides access to the pump.
Charge pump (1) is splined to the propel pump. The engine drives the pump. The charge pump provides supply oil to the steering system. The pump also provides charge oil to the propel system.
When the engine is running, charge pump (1) rotates. As the pump rotates, oil is drawn from the hydraulic tank through a suction strainer into port"S1" (3) of the pump. Oil is directed out port"P1" (2) of the charge pump and delivered to port"P" of the steering control unit.
