Problem

On machines listed above, thread locking may have been omitted during the assembly process. 6V-7357 Bolt may loosen if thread locking compound is missing. The loose bolt can cause the brake pedal not fully to release while not in use. This action can result in brake "drag" or the rear brake lights to stay on unintentionally.

Solution

Check 6V-7357 Bolt (1) for correct adjustment. If bolt (1) is loose, reinstall using medium strength Loctite 243. Set the clearance (D1) to 0.6 mm (0.024 inch) and tighten locking nut (2) to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
