Use the following procedure to install the adapter:
- Lubricate the bore lightly with engine oil.
- Lubricate the seal lightly with engine oil.
- Freeze the adapter to at least −18 °C (−64 °F).
- Install the seal into the groove on the adapter and install the adapter into the bore.

Note: Coat seal joints with 4C-9612 Sealant.
