Installation Procedure
Note: When installing a new catalyst or a cleaned catalyst, a SCR reset must be performed. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS8180, "Aftertreatment Filter Maintenance on Tier 4 Final Products Equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), and a Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) Filter" for the correct procedure.
- Install catalyst (SCR) (4) in the reverse order of removal.
- Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of clamp assemblies (5) along Distance (X). Distance (X) is 25 mm (1.0 inch) above the trunnion. Tighten clamp assemblies (5) to a torque of 16.5 ± 1.5 N·m (146 ± 13 lb in).

Typical Example
Note: Do not use power tools in order to torque clamp assemblies (5) .
- Verify that the cup of the Ball Joint (G) does not touch the radius of the Ball (F). Position band clamp (1), hand tighten band clamp (1). Band clamp (1) should be in the center of the joint.

Note: Do not use power tools in order to torque band clamp (1) .
- Dimension (C) and Dimension (D) should be equal within 2.0 mm (0.08 inch). Repeat the measurements every 90° around band clamp (1). If necessary, adjust band clamp (1) .
- Torque band clamp (1) to a torque of 35 ± 2 N·m (26 ± 1 lb ft).
