Tie Rod (Steering)(Front) - Remove and Install

Start By:
- Remove the front tires and rims.
- Remove nut (1) from tie rod (2).
- Loosen nut (3).
- Use Tooling (A) to disconnect tie rod (2). Remove nut (1) and tie rod (2).

Note: Record the measurement from the center of nut (1) to the steering cylinder before removal in order to maintain proper alignment after installation.
- Install tie rod (2) in the reverse order of removal.
- Adjust to the correct length.
- Tighten nut (1) to a torque of
220 + 11, − 33 N·m (162 + 8, − 24 lb ft) . - Tighten nut (3) to a torque of
250 + 12, − 37 N·m (184 + 9, − 27 lb ft) .
