- Turn the battery switch to the "OFF" position.

- Remove the belt. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace" to remove and install the belt.

Illustration 2 g03841739 - Disconnect cable assembly (4) and ground strap (6). Remove bolts (3) and alternator (5).
- Install alternator (5) in the reverse order of removal.
