Usage:
Problem:
Analysis has discovered that the current inlet location will not provide adequate coolant flow to the engine block causing unnecessary cycling of the jacket water heater and inadequate heating of the coolant in the engine block also possibly causing nuisance low coolant temperature alarms.
Solution:
The jacket water heater hose block inlet location needs to be changed. Use 005-8615 Adapter, 1L-0254 Elbow, and 5S-2392 Fitting to relocate the block end of the jacket water heater hose. Refer to the previous diagram for location and configuration of parts. To plug old hose location on block use 7W-6492 Pipe Plug to close old hose location. DISTA engines will need to have turbo oil supply line temporarily removed during procedure to facilitate relocation.
