Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the front tires and rims.

Note: Record the measurement from the center of nut (1) to the steering cylinder before removal in order to maintain proper alignment after installation.

1. Loosen nut (1) until flush with the end of tie rod (2).

2. Loosen nut (3).

3. Use Tooling (A) to disconnect tie rod (2). Remove nut (1) and tie rod (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Install tie rod (2) in the reverse order of removal, adjusting to the correct length.

   1. Tighten nut (1) to a torque of 220 N·m (162 lb ft).

   2. Tighten nut (3) to a torque of 250 N·m (184 lb ft).
