Procedure to Install the 460-7644 Fuel Lines Gp on Certain 24M Motor Grader Engines{1274}

Introduction

Use this procedure to install the 460-7644 Fuel Lines Gp on the machines listed above.

Do not allow dirt to enter the fuel system. Thoroughly clean the area around a fuel system component that will be disconnected. Fit a suitable cover over disconnected fuel system component.

  1. Remove clips, mounting hardware, and brackets from the 318-0825 Hose As .

    Note: The 318-0825 Hose As will be reused.

  1. Remove the two hoses, clips, mounting hardware, and brackets.

  1. Connect one end of hose (1) to the transfer pump outlet and the other end to elbow (2) .

  1. Install two grommets (6) on hose (3) .

  1. Install one clip (7) and one clip (8) .

  1. Secure clips (7) and (8) to the block using one bolt (9), one washer (10) and one spacer (11) .

  1. Install one clip (12) and one clip (13) .

  1. Secure clips (12) and (13) to the block using one bolt (14), one washer (10) and one spacer (15) .

  1. Orientate the fuel transfer pump elbows as shown in Illustration 8.

  1. Install one bracket (22) using one bolt (21) and one washer (10) .

  1. Install one grommet (6) on hose (1) .

  1. Install one grommet (20) on hose (16) .

  1. Install clip one (7) and one clip (8) on hose (16) over grommet (20) .

  1. Secure clips (7) and (8) to bracket (22) using one stud (17), one washer (10), and one spacer (19) .

  1. Install clip one (7) and one clip (8) on hose (1) over grommet (6) .

  1. Secure clips (7) and (8) to stud (17) using two washers (10) and one nut (18) .

  1. Install one bracket (25) using one washer (28) and one nut (27) .

  1. Install one grommet (6) on hose (1) .

  1. Install one grommet (20) on hose (16) .

  1. Install clip one (7) and one clip (8) on hose (16) over grommet (20) .

  1. Secure clips (7) and (8) to bracket (26) using one stud (23) and one washer (25) .

  1. Install clip one (7) and one clip (8) on hose (1) over grommet (6) .

  1. Secure clips (7) and (8) to stud (23) using two washers (25) and one nut (24) .

  1. Install one connector (31) and one connector (32) into the fuel filter housing.

  1. Install one cap (33) on connector (32) .

  1. Install one hose (29), connect the straight end to the cylinder head and the elbow end to connector (31) .

  1. Install one grommet (6), one clip (7) and one clip (8) on hose (29) .

  1. Secure clips (7) and (8) to the flywheel housing using one bolt (30) and one washer (25) .
