When reporting the repair, use "PS53613" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing oil cooler can fail on certain C175-16 Locomotive Engines. If the existing oil cooler fails it can/will cause oil to enter the cooling system and coolant to enter the oil system. |

ACTION REQUIRED
Refer to Troubleshooting, UENR3018, "Coolant Contains Oil" and confirm the oil cooler is the source of the leak. If the oil cooler is leaking perform the following: 1. Install a new oil cooler core. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly manual for additional information. 2. Flush the cooling system. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for additional information. 3. Refill the cooling system with the proper coolant. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct coolant and capacities. 4. Check the oil for coolant. If coolant is found in the oil, drain the crankcase. 5. Refill the crankcase with the proper oil after the leak has been repaired. Install new engine oil filters. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct oil capacities and viscosity. |
