NOTE: | This Program must be administered either before or after failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS45575" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The existing jacket water heater pump seal can leak from excessive inlet restriction on the inlet of the pump for certain 3512C HD Locomotive Engines. If the existing pump seal fails it will leak coolant in the engine room. |

ACTION REQUIRED
1.) Drain the engine coolant into a suitable container for reuse. 2.) Remove the 1" supply line from the jacket water heater pump inlet and remove the cover plate to the jacket water coolant thermostat housing. 3.) Install a new 7E-6016 Gasket and 538-1253 Cover. You will want to install the 165-3929 Bolts on the bottom of the cover and reuse two of the existing bolts in the top of the cover. 4.) Rebuild the jacket water heater pump with the 4P-5152 Seal Kit. 5.) Install the new 1.5" ID hose with the 144-3935 Clip. 6.) Disconnect the hose on the outlet of the heater and install the 425-9923 Orifice. 7.) Fill the engine with coolant. |
