In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 8% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

1) Perform Troubleshooting, UENR3363, "Coolant Temperature Is High".
2) Ensure sea water pressure at the suction of the sea water pump exceeds -24kPag at rated speed.
3) Ensure sea water pressure at the discharge of the gear cooler is less than 50kPag at rated speed.
If the result of these 3 tests with applied corrections (if needed) is that the Engine Coolant temperature is greater than 102?C (215?F), replace the thermostats and install additional plates listed in the Parts Needed. The additional plates can be placed between the first and twenty-forth position from the rear. During the assembly of the gaskets make sure to install the tabs of the gasket into the slots of the heat exchanger plate. Ensure proper order and orientation of the heat exchanger plates and the gaskets. Refer to Image 1. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, RENR2389, "Heat Exchanger - Disassemble - With Fuel Cooler" and "Heat Exchanger - Assemble - With Fuel Cooler".
If the vessel has an engine in the Affected Product that requires the additional plates and has another engine in the Affected Product in the same vessel, install the additional plates on the other engine as well. |
