Service Magazine SEPD1712, 17 December 2013, "New Exhaust Manifolds Are Used on 797 and 797B Off-Highway Trucks Equipped with 3524 Engines". Disregard the previous article, refer to the information below.

Description of Change: New exhaust manifolds have been produced to handle higher vibration loads than the previous manifolds.

Adaptable To: The new 435-3912 Exhaust Manifold and 437-7389 Exhaust Manifold replace the existing 313-9360 Exhaust Manifold and 313-9361 Exhaust Manifold. The new exhaust manifolds are adaptable back to first production on the serial numbers listed above.

The new exhaust manifolds apply to Cat Reman tandem engines as well. Engine serial numbers NPM00460-UP will receive the new manifolds at the factory

This change is effective for the serial numbers listed in Table 1.
