All Hydraulic Pumps And Motors With Double Seals And Drain Hole

For parts service, the former metal 3G7242 Plug has been replaced by a rubber 3G7242 Plug and a 4T9380 Insert. Some applications use both parts. Remove the pump or motor from machine as shown in Service Manual. Use the following procedure to install these parts.
1 Remove metal plug (1) from housing. Clean the drain hole with 6V1541 Quick Cure Primer before installing the 4T9380 Insert.
2 Lightly apply 9S3265 Retaining Compound to the outside diameter of insert (2). Do not use too much retaining compound; it can get inside of the insert and on the rubber plug. Install insert (2). Use a tapered punch to spread the top of the insert. Install rubber plug (3).
3 On later housings with a 4.80 mmØ (.189"Ø) hole, install plug (3) without insert (2).
