New Breather Group And Fumes Disposal Group Help Reduce Oil In Blow-By Fumes {1317}

Description of Change: A new breather group is in production. The new breather assembly is larger than the breather assembly in the former breather group. The larger breather assembly will help reduce the velocity of the blow-by fumes. This will help allow the oil mist contained in the blow-by to drop out of the fumes inside the breather assembly. The result will be less oil in the output of the breather assembly which is routed to the engine inlet air filter. The new fumes disposal group is used with the new breather group.

Adaptable To: The new 4P9440 Breather Group and 6I0907 Fumes Disposal Group, when used together, are direct replacements for the 1N3477 Breather Group and 7C6775 Fumes Disposal Group. The 7C6775 Fumes Disposal Group is canceled. The new groups are in effect with 3116 Marine Engines 4KG1168 and 1SK110.
