Description of Change: The most often used battery disconnect switch plate is the 8H8648. This plate has pictograph symbols for "OPEN" and "CLOSED". Other battery disconnect switch plates are also sometimes used.
A new battery disconnect switch plate has "OPEN/CLOSED" pictographs along with a "battery" pictograph to indicate this switch opens and closes the battery circuit.
Adaptable To: The new 3E8320 Battery Disconnect Switch Plate should be used in all battery disconnect applications. The former plate will continue to be serviced.
