Correct Procedure To Check For Grounds On Woodward 9905 Series, 2301A Control; Correction For Service Manual Module; 2301A Electric Governors (Load Sharing) For Generator Set And Industrial Engines; Form SENR3585-01 {1289}

Usage:

Refer to Page 22, under the headings "Initial Checks & Adjustments Section; Check For Grounds". This procedure is not identified correctly, nor is it the correct procedure for the Woodward 9905 Series, 2301A Control. The procedure is correct ONLY for the Woodward 8272 Series, 2301A Control. The correct procedure for the Woodward 9905 Series, 2301A Control follows.

1. With the power off, measure the resistance between Terminals T11 and T15. The resistance should be infinite.

If the resistance is NOT infinite, remove the connections from each terminal, one at a time, until the resistance becomes infinite. Check the line that was removed last to locate the fault. Correct the problem before proceeding.

On Pages 61-63, the entire "PROCEDURE M-Phasing Procedure" is incorrect for a Woodward 2301A Load Share Control. However, it IS correct for a 2301 Load Share Control. For the correct procedure for a 2301A Control, refer to the "Phase Correction Procedure" in the Woodward Installation, Operation And Calibration Manuals 82389, or 82312. Service Procedure M will be corrected at the next revision.
