Incorrect Installation Of Slow-Moving Vehicle Sign (Triangle) May Affect Cooling Performance {7405,1353,7557}
Usage:
Many models of Caterpillar equipment may be required to travel on roads during part or all of their operation. A bright orange triangle representing a slow-moving vehicle is required.
However, if the sign is installed on the radiator grill, air flow may be restricted. Smaller machines will be affected more than the larger machines. For example, small wheel loaders may lose as much as 3°C (5°F) in cooling performance. To eliminate this condition, it is recommended that the slow-moving sign be located out of the air flow pattern.
