Leaving the Machine

Usage:

Use the steps and the handholds in order to dismount the machine. Face the machine in order to dismount the machine.

Inspect the engine compartment and the aftertreatment exhaust for debris. Clean any debris from the engine compartment in order to avoid a fire. Clean any paper from the engine compartment in order to avoid a fire.

If the machine is being parked for an extended time, for example overnight, turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. If the machine will not be operated for a month or more, remove the battery disconnect switch key.

Extend the screed travel locks. Lower the screed onto the travel locks. Move the tow point cylinders to the full UP position. If the travel locks are not used, place the screed on the ground.

Vandal Guards

Vandal guards are stored on each operator console. Grasp the knobs on either side of the vandal guard. Pull the vandal guard along the slider track toward you. The guard fits over the operator controls and around the base of the steering wheel. Lock the vandal guard in place for each operator control station with a padlock.

Note: The cover should be locked at all times when the machine is left or stored.
