Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The 3E-4053 Air Conditioner Fitting and the 149-2491 Air Conditioner Fitting for the air conditioner may fail. This will result in a loss of refrigerant.

Solution

The steps for rework are listed below.

1. Remove the refrigerant from the system if it is necessary.

2. Disconnect the 297-1084 Hose As and the 294-3041 Hose As .

3. Remove compressor (1).

4. Remove Air Conditioner Fitting (2) and Air Conditioner Fitting (3) .

5. Install 304-2740 Manifold Assembly .

6. Reinstall compressor (1). Index compressor (1) at 180 degrees from the original position.

7. Loosen "P" Clips. Adjust the lines for 294-3041 Hose As and 297-1084 Hose As . Connect the lines for 294-3041 Hose As and 297-1084 Hose As to the correct ports.

8. Secure all "P" clips.

9. Charge the air conditioning system and check the air conditioning system for leaks.
