Description of Change: A new bolt is now used to secure the hinge assembly for the hood on certain Soil Compactors.

Adaptable To: The 161-7632 Self-Locking Bolts replaces the 8T-4196 Bolts .

The new 161-7632 Self-Locking Bolts is effective with the following Soil Compactors:

• CP56 (S/N: C5P211)

• CP64 (S/N: C6P107)

• CS74 (S/N: C8S112)

• CS76 (S/N: JCS113)

• CS56 (S/N: C5S310)

• CS64 (S/N: C6S105)

The new 161-7632 Self-Locking Bolts is adaptable to the following Soil Compactors:

• CP56 (S/N: C5P1-210)

• CP64 (S/N: C6P1-106)

• CS74 (S/N: C8S1-111)

• CS76 (S/N: JCS1-112)

• CS56 (S/N: C5S1-309)

• CS64 (S/N: C6S1-104)

Bolts with a visible patch of adhesive are now used to retain the 275-5124 Hinge Assembly to the 289-5225 Hood. The 161-7632 Self-Locking Bolts are a direct replacement for 8T-4196 Bolts.

Tighten 161-7632 Self-Locking Bolts in sequence. Refer to Illustration 1 for the correct sequence in order to tighten the bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
