AccuGrade® GPS (CD700) Caterpillar

Full Screen Messages

Usage:

D6R II AAX
The AccuGrade System generates error and warning messages when action is required. These error and warning messages are also written to the "Program Log.txt" file.

Software Support Option

During the start-up of the system, the software checks that the correct software option key has been entered. If the key is not found, a message appears. If this occurs, do one of the following:

  • Refer to Systems Operation, "Software Support Option" for more information.

  • Consult your Site Manager.

Software Support Option Errors

For AccuGrade v11.0, systems can be restricted by option key to support only conventional (1D) grading or 2D excavator guidance. If you restore a machine settings file that specifies 3D sensors, or features that depend on 3D sensors, then the error message will contain the following note:

"The Conventional Guidance Only option will have to be turned off."

General Error And Warning Messages

"The machine name has not been set."

Machines are now given names at the time of installation. If you restore a machine settings file from V10.80 Cycle 2 or earlier onto a V11.0 system, then you will get a full screen warning message.

"An Error Has Been Detected That May Result In Inaccurate Guidance: Measured Blade Dimensions Do Not Agree With Configured Blade Dimensions!"

The following errors and messages apply to all AccuGrade Systems.

  • AccuGrade Systems automatically check the configured blade width against the blade width measured by the two GPS Receivers. If the two blade widths vary by more than 100 mm (4 inches) this error message is shown.

  • This check makes sure that the configured blade width matches the blade width of the machine the system is installed on. An error may indicate that an incorrect machine settings file has been loaded, or that the GPS Receiver positions on the machine have changed, for example, if the receiver masts have been damaged and are not in their original position.

  • Confirm that the correct machine settings file is loaded. Check your GPS Receivers and receiver mounts for any signs of damage and confirm they are securely mounted. Contact your Site Manager in order to remeasure and enter the machine dimensions again.

Note: The results of this check are recorded in the Program Log file.

"Avoidance Zone Areas Are Too Far From The Design Surface And Will Not Be Drawn. Check Your Units Or Redesign The Avoidance Zone File."

The avoidance zone may have been designed with the wrong units of measurement. Contact your Site Manager.

"File Error While Loading ..."

The design avoidance zone file, background plan file, or site map file cannot load because of an error in the file. This means that background information that is contained in this file will not appear in plan view. As the files do not contain information on vertical guidance, you can continue.

For avoidance zones or a design background plan, try reloading the design. For a site map file, try removing the data card and then reinserting the data card.

If this still fails, contact your Site Manager in order to check that the DXF file does not contain any errors. Import the DXF file into the AccuGrade Office Software.

"No Data Card"

The AccuGrade System is attempting to log information onto the data card, but there is no data card inserted in the data card slot. Insert a data card, or make sure that the card is inserted correctly. Then continue with the current task.
