Accessing the Web Interface
Note: The information that is contained within Systems Operation, KENR8675, "User Guide for Health Interface Module (HIM)", "Configuration Menu" will be required for the configuration of the HIM.
The configuration of the HIM is performed through the web interface of the HIM or through the web interface of the HIM Low Precision Global Positioning System Option (HIM LP GPS Option). Perform the following procedure in order to access the web interface:
- Open the web browser.
Note: Ensure that the web browser is not configured to use a proxy server. In order to verify, perform the following procedure:
- Access "Tools" and select "Internet Options". Select "Connections" and select "LAN settings".
- In the window for the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings", verify that the check box for using a proxy server is blank.
Note: An Ethernet cable should be connected from the HIM or from the HIM LP GPS Option to the service laptop computer.
- Type "http://10.9.8.7:3785/" in the address field of the web browser.

Device Configuration
Note: The TCP/IP refers to the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol.
Note: TMAC refers to Trimble Mincom Aquila Caterpillar.
Note: FTP refers to the File Transfer Protocol.
Refer to Systems Operation, KENR8675, "User Guide for Health Interface Module (HIM)", "Configuration Menu" for the procedures to configure the following settings:
- "Device Identification"
- "Date and Time Settings"
- "TCP/IP Configuration"
- "Serial Baud Rates"
- "TMAC Settings"
- "FTP Settings"
- "Geo Transform File"
Note: "Geo Transform File" is only applicable to the HIM LP GPS Option.
Note: Do not disconnect the Ethernet cable once the HIM or the HIM LP GPS Option has been configured. The service laptop computer will continue to be used in order to validate the configuration.
CAES Configuration
The section for the Computer Aided Earthmoving System configuration (CAES configuration) applies to a HIM that is installed with CAES. Perform the following procedure in order to broadcast information on the GPS position from CAES to the HIM:
- Obtain the IP address of the HIM from the network administrator of the mine.
- Locate the "mach_cfg.txt" file on the CAES onboard system. This file will be found under the "d:\CAES\config" folder.
- Add the following code to the "mach_cfg.txt" file:
- "$Position Broadcast (sequence number) =(IP address of HIM) 51889 2000"
Note: The sequence number should not be an existing number. Use the next sequential number in the list.
Note: Ensure that the IP address of the HIM is replaced with the actual IP address.
Note: There is a space before the equal sign (=).
Note: If the "mach_cfg.txt" file exists under two folders in Step 2, add the line of code to both folders.
- "$Position Broadcast (sequence number) =(IP address of HIM) 51889 2000"
- Save the file and reboot the CAES system.
The HIM will now receive GPS data from CAES.
