Oil Filter and Base (Rear Axle Lubrication) - Disassemble
Start By:
- Remove the rear axle oil filter and the base. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oil Filter and Base (Rear Axle Lubrication) - Remove".

- Remove element assembly (1). Remove O-ring seal (2).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
- Remove plug (3), spool (4), spring (5), and spring (6).
