Description of Change: The new shaft for the accessory drive has an additional path for the flow of lubricating oil to the sleeve bearing. The grooved sleeve bearing and internal ports in the adapter provide pressurized lubrication to the thrust washer in order to increase the lubrication and the cooling of the thrust washer. To facilitate assembly, the cage and the thrust washers for the adapter are now pinned.
Adaptable To:
The new parts are adaptable to the above machines back to first production. The accessory drive groups, the parts that have been replaced, and the new parts are listed in Table 1. The part numbers of the accessory drive groups have not changed.
Note: The castings for the cage and for the adapter assemblies are not available as serviceable parts. The assemblies and all of the other parts in the assemblies are available as serviceable parts.
