Assembly Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

3. Install the O-ring seal and hydraulic manifold (113) onto valve assembly (106) . Install bolts (112) . Tighten bolts (112) to a torque of 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).

4. Install the O-ring seal and cover (110) . Install bolts (111) . Tighten bolts (111) to a torque of 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).

Take extreme caution while intalling the needles. Do not drop a needle inside the vale body.

Note: The needles must be replaced by needles that have the same number of grooves.

5. Use Tooling (C) to install the needles (not shown). Install the remaining internal parts of the poppet assemblies. Use Tooling (A) to install poppet assemblies (109) into valve assembly (106) . Tighten poppet assemblies (109) to a torque of 12.5 N·m (9 lb ft).

1. Use Tooling (C) to install the needle (not shown). Install the remaining internal parts of the poppet assembly. Use Tooling (A) to install poppet assembly (105) into valve assembly (94) . Tighten poppet assembly (105) to a torque of 12.5 N·m (9 lb ft).

2. Install the O-ring seal and fitting (100) into valve assembly (94) .

3. Install the O-ring seal and check valve assembly (99) . Tighten check valve assembly (99) to a torque of 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

4. Install O-ring seal (102) onto relief valve (98) . Install backup ring (103) and O-ring seal (104) onto relief valve (98) .

5. Install relief valve (98) into valve assembly (94) . Tighten relief valve (98) to a torque of 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for relief valve (101) .

7. Install the O-ring seal and cover (96) onto valve assembly (94) . Install bolts (97) . Tighten bolts (97) to a torque of 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).

10. Install the O-ring seal and fitting (91) .

11. Install the O-ring seal and check valve (90) . Tighten check valve (90) to a torque of 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

12. Install O-ring seal (93) onto relief valve (89) . Install backup ring (94) and O-ring seal (95) onto relief valve (89) .

13. Install relief valve (89) . Tighten relief valve (89) to a torque of 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

14. Repeat Steps 12 and 13 for relief valve (92) .

15. Install the O-ring seal and cover (87) . Install bolts (88) . Tighten bolts (88) to a torque of 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).

19. Install coil assembly (80) . Install nut (79) . Tighten nut (79) to a torque of 9.5 ± 1.5 N·m (84 ± 13 lb in). Repeat this step for the other coil assembly (80) .

6. Install the O-ring seal and fitting (36) into valve assembly (30) .

7. Install the O-ring seal and check valve assembly (35) into valve assembly (30) . Tighten check valve (35) to a torque of 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

8. Install the O-ring seals, actuator assembly (34) , and cover (32) onto valve assembly (30) . Install bolts (33) . Tighten bolts (33) to a torque of 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).

5. Install the spool, the O-ring seal, and cover (22) to valve assembly (18) . Install bolts (23) . Tighten bolts (23) to a torque of 4.5 N·m (40 lb in).
