Piston Motor (Propel) - Disassemble

Start By:

Remove the piston motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Motor (Propel) - Remove".

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.

Remove plug (4).
Remove plug (5).

Remove spring (8) and retainer (7).
Remove spool (6).
Repeat Step 4 through Step 5 for the opposite side.

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (20).

Remove bolts (26) and housing (25).

Remove spacer (29).

Use a suitable press in order to remove rotating group (30) from housing (31).
Note: Do not allow the rotating group to drop.
