A New Pinion Assembly Updates the Differential Group {3258}

Description of Change: A new pinion assembly is now used in the differential group. The former pinion assembly had a tooth profile with a spline that had a full radius. The new design of the new pinion assembly has a tooth profile with a spline that has a flat root. This improves the lubrication to the spline joint. This will increase the service life of the pinion assembly in the field.

The new 308-7792 Pinion As (1) is a direct replacement for the former 104-4701 Pinion As in the 282-1775 Differential Gp. The new pinion assembly is adaptable back to the beginning of production of the machines. The new pinion assembly became effective in production with the machine FDB650-UP.
