Start By:

  1. Remove the piston motor.

  1. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2).

  2. Remove O-ring seal (3).

  3. Remove bolts (4) and head (5).

  4. Remove O-ring seals (6), port plate (7), and bearing (8).

  5. Remove plug (9).

  6. Remove O-ring seal (12) from plug (9).

  7. Remove spring (11) and piston (10).

  8. Repeat Step 6 for the opposite side.

  9. Remove plug (13), the O-ring seal, and spring (14).

  10. Remove plug (17), the O-ring seal, spring (16), and spool (15).

    Note: Do not move nut (14A) preset from supplier.

  11. Remove plug (14B), O-ring seal (14C), O-ring seal (14D), retainer (14E), spring (14F), and valve (14G).

  12. Remove lip seal (18).

  13. Remove springs (19), springs (20), O-ring seal (23), bearing race (23A), barrel (22), and piston (21).

  14. Remove the O-ring seals from piston (21).

  15. Remove pins (24).

  16. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to remove retaining ring (25) from barrel (22).

  17. Remove washers (26) and spring (27) from barrel (22).

  18. Remove piston (28) and the O-ring seal.

  19. Remove discs (29) and plates (30).

  20. Remove retainer (31), bearing (33), and pistons (32).

  22. Remove pistons (36) and shaft (35).

  23. Use a suitable press in order to remove bearing race (36A).

  24. Remove balls (37), bearing (38), and springs (39).

  25. Use Tooling (B) in order to remove retaining ring (40).

  26. Remove plugs (42) and the O-ring seals.

  27. Use Tooling (C) in order to remove cover (41).

  28. Remove O-ring seal (43) and carrier assembly (44).

  29. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove retaining rings (46).

  30. Remove gears (45) and gear (47).

  31. Use Tooling (E) in order to remove retaining ring (48).

  32. Remove gear (49).

  33. Use Tooling (D) in order to remove retaining rings (50).

  34. Remove gears (51).

  35. Drill the stakes from nut (52).

  36. Install spindle (54) and housing (53) onto Tooling (F). Install Tooling (F) onto the bottom half of Tooling (G).

  37. Install Tooling (H) and Tooling (J).

  38. Install the remaining pieces of Tooling (G).

  39. Remove nut (52).

  40. Use Tooling (H) and a suitable press in order to remove spindle (54) from housing (53).

  41. Remove Dou-Cone seals (56) and (55).

  42. Use Tooling (J) in order to remove bearing race (57).
