Procedure to Install Improved Software and Cable Assemblies on the Cold Planers{0779, 7620}

Introduction
Installation instructions of the service tool software and an improved cable assembly for the control group is now available for Cold Planers.
Setting Up

- Park the cold planer on a hard flat surface.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the batteries.
- Open left rear cover (3) .

- Disconnect harness assembly (5) from propel pump (4) .

- Open relay cover (3) on the operator station.

- Connect cable assembly (1) to cable (2) .

- Connect adapter (2) to "USB" port on the computer.
- Connect the 3-pin connector of cable assembly (1) to connector (4) on the "CAN port" plug on the machine.
- Start the computer. Start the PLUS 1 Service Tool software.
- Turn the ignition key (5) to the ON position. Do not start the engine.

- Select "Yes" (6) in order to scan the system.

- Locate file (15). The file should read "App. Ver.:2.0" .
- Open "File" menu (7) and select "Exit" (16) .
