Right Side Extension (1) Four vibratory motors (2) Eccentric weight shafts | |
The screed is equipped with four vibratory motors (1). One motor is located at the outboard side of each extension. One motor is also installed on each side of the main screed frames.
The vibratory motors (1) turn eccentric weight shafts (2) in order to create vibration. This vibration assists with the initial compaction of the asphalt mat.
