Front of Center Console (1) Fuel spray pump circuit breaker |
Circuit breaker (1) for the fuel spray pump is located on the circuit breaker panel. This panel is located on the front of the center console. Decals on the panel identify the function of each circuit breaker.
Circuit breaker (1) for the fuel spray pump receives power when the main power relay is energized. The circuit breaker transfers power to contact "2" of the fuel pump switch.

Right Screed Operator Station (2) Fuel pump indicator (3) Fuel pump switch |
The right screed operator station is equipped with single fuel pump indicator (2) and single fuel pump switch (3) .
Fuel pump switch (3) is a three-position toggle switch. The bottom position of the switch is the TIME position. The top position of the switch is the SPRAY position. The center position of the switch is the OFF position. The TIME position is only used on machines that are equipped with diesel screed heaters.
In the TIME position, the fuel pump switch transfers power to a timer that controls the amount of time the burner fuel pump operates. In the SPRAY position, the fuel pump operates continuously. When the fuel pump is operating, fuel pump indicator 2 is illuminated.

Left Side of Machine (4) Filter (5) Fuel pump (6) Electric motor |
Electric motor (6) and fuel pump (5) are located on the left side of the machine. The rear panel provides access to these components.
Fuel pump (5) is driven by electric motor (6). When the motor is on, the fuel pump draws oil from the fuel tank through filter (4). Fuel flow from the pump is available to the fuel washdown system.

Screed with Diesel Burners (7) Gate valve (8) Gate valve (9) Quick coupler |
On screeds with the diesel burners, both sides of the screed are equipped with a fuel manifold. Each fuel manifold contains two gate valves (7) and (8). The gate valves control the fuel flow to the burners. Also, the gate valves control the fuel flow to one quick coupler (9). The fuel washdown hose can be connected to the quick couplers. The fuel pump supplies fuel to the quick coupler when the pump is in operation.

Right Side of Screed (10) Spray gun (11) Hose reel (12) Gate valve |
Hose reel (11) is located on the right side of the screed, if equipped. Spray gun (10) can be connected to the quick coupler at the end of the hose. The gun can be stored on the reel.
Fuel pump (6) supplies fuel directly to the hose. The hose does not need to be connected to the couplers at the screed. When the machine washdown system is being used, gate valve (12) should be open parallel to the fitting. This valve should be closed when the system is not being used.
